How To Be Famous?

Wealth and fame comprise the temporary axis on which the materialistic sections of the globe revolve. One need not read up on voluminous texts or sign up for prosaic discourses to learn how to be famous. Those with a knack for business have acknowledged the increasing pool of people who want their share of the spotlight, and have constructed routes to being famous.

Before advancing the question of how to be famous? contemplate and decide as to the manner of fame you want. Whether you want short-term fame or long lasting fame, and finalize on your definitions of both. The most obvious path to being famous is to keep doing what you do best. Just as Shakespeare Sigmund Freud, Einstein and Elvis Presley are famous even for decades after mortally quitting the world, people like Bill Gates, Stephen Hawking, J. K. Rowling, Dan Brown, Akon and Shakira will remain in the echelons of the famous for a long time to come. Being capable of composing songs and creating fictional worlds is not a pre-requisite for being famous, having an eye for art and being able to accurately evaluate products and services will also do. Roger Ebert is today a renowned figure because of his ability to critique films.

Though not universally popular, a number of scientists, filmmakers, sociologists, musicians, researchers, naturalists, wine tasters and travel writers attain fame within their niche, and are appreciated. The managing and editorial teams of magazines and TV shows, and the crews of multi-million-dollar films are all famous in their own way. Entertainers like stand-up comedian Russell Peters and sports persons are all people who are famous for their immense talent and potential.

There are, however, tickets to overnight fame. Reality TV, as any self-respecting citizen of the globe (those sections with access to technology, at least) will tell you, is among the most accepted routes to instantaneous game. American Idols Kelly Clarkson, Britain’s Got Talent, Susan Boyle and Big Brother’s Jade Goody (and her tiff with Indian actress Shilpa Shetty) are all living examples of the power of reality TV. Innumerable reality shows that encourage talent and intellect have been designed in countries across that globe, and the participants of these shows become household names who never need to wonder how to be famous?
